Ngl there's a few scenes from Bojack that made me bawl, the one where princess Carolyn had that fight with Bojack and turned around to help him at the restaurant especially because I have relationships like that and I really just understood that moment for her, I also cried at the view from halfway down I'm pretty sure because again, I really just, understood it on a personal level

This one also isn't sad really

But the scene where Michael in the office was talking about the bird dying alone made me cry cause it made me sad for the bird because it probably did die alone and I think the thought of someone dying truly and througly alone is really sad, and not really just dying by yourself, but dying and no one even bothering to care you're dead. I honestly think having someone celebrate your death is better than dying forgotten and uncared about because even if they hate you, they still cared enough to hate you.

The scene where Sarah finds her brother in the secret closet in Elle s'appelait Sarah

The only superhero movie I think I cried was Spider-Man 3 where Peter Parker forgives Sandman. I know it's a movie but sand man accidentally kills his uncle but he still has forgiven him he doesn't want to be burden with that. Sandman only did it because he wanted to do best for his sick daughter.

"I forgive you"

Roach and Ghost's deaths in MW2.

The entire fucking Hachiko movie.

The endings to LISA: The Painful and Joyful, when Brad is dying and asks Buddy for a hug, because he's never been hugged before, and when Buddy fights "Brad", and he speaks to her, and his name changes from Brad to Dad and The Nobody.

In SOMA, when gets his consciousness transferred the first time in-game and gets the option to kill his "former" self. Also the ending when he finally realises he won't ever leave the bottom of the sea.

The ending to Assassin's Creed Black Flag.

Several scenes in The Cat Lady, even the ones that weren't emotional. There's for example a part of the game where the main character can have a mental breakdown if she experiences too many small, negative things in a short period of time, like messing up her coffee or whatever. She's depressed and suicidal, and what she feels and expresses just hits home a bit too hard.

It's been 11 years and the ending of Loose Ends in MW2 still breaks my heart.

discountwalmartFemcel · Jan. 7, 2021, 9:54 p.m.

It'll never stop being heartbreaking.

Riled_up_BlackfyreMoid · Jan. 8, 2021, 2:31 a.m.

Roach and Ghost were so sad, obligatory fuck Shepard

Was the ending to Black flag where it shows the family minus his wife at the opera? Or when he sails home with his daughter after finding out Caroline has died? It’s been ages since I finished it

antempirezFemcel · Jan. 9, 2021, 9:08 p.m.

Saddest thing I know is Grave of the Fireflies by Studio Ghibli. I’m not strong enough yet

The ending of “It’s a Wonderful Life” always makes me emotional! Always nice to have a movie remind me not to kill myself. And the death of Mufasa never stops hurting as much as it did the first time.

Whenever I need a pick me up to feel good I rewatch the My Hero Academia scene where Bakugou grabs Kirishima’s hand after being rescued by the league of villains, how his childhood rival Midoriya knew only Kirishima was close enough that calling out to Bakugou would work.

I could go on and on about this because I truly love to cry. It’s much better than feeling nothing or screaming silently. I cried when I saw the video of the elephant that could paint, and then I cried again when I learned the elephant had been abused to learn to do that. (I didn’t enjoy crying about the last part.)

Omg yes it’s a wonderful life.

To my brother George, the richest man in town”
No man is a failure who has friends”

And then just to cap it off they all sing for auld Lang syne

Gotta love Jimmie Stewart and Frank Capra, they come back from the horrors of the Second World War and that’s the first thing they make

BlirbyFemcel · Jan. 11, 2021, 8:20 a.m.

I guess they needed something heartening to deal with that ptsd, the greatest generation was in great need of a hug.

I don’t even need to watch the whole movie sometimes, clips on YouTube are enough to devastate me.

Fruits Basket is another perfect best thing in the world to me that’s good and sad but also hopeful and poignant and all the more sad for that, if you like anime

Yondu’s death from Guardians of the Galaxy 2. I actually cried

Riled_up_BlackfyreMoid · Jan. 8, 2021, 2:36 a.m.

Oh man that was sad. The funeral with Father and Son playing and Yondu being acknowledged by the other ravages as being redeemed 😢

Riled_up_BlackfyreMoid · Jan. 8, 2021, 2:51 a.m.

There are many

The endings to Jurassic Bark, game of tones and luck of the fryish from Futurama

Then for the Simpsons, when after his mother leaves, and Homer just sits on his bonnet looking up at the sky. Also Mr Nordstrom’s note, that’s sickeningly sweet. Oh and also “don’t forget you’re here for ever/do it for her”

Parts of mass effect 3, especially the music. The ending to Band of Brothers.

Parts of mad men, like Don realising his family have left him and he’s missed out on spending time with them and is left alone contemplating his life and knowing it’s his own fault, that was a big mood.

Depending on the mood I’m in, possible even parts of Star Wars. Pretty sure I teared up at Luke arriving and taking Grogu from Mando, and Mando taking off his helmet, crying etc

The mental image of tears falling and hitting the pages of a book is familiar but I’m not sure when that happened.

Don’t think I ever cried reading or watching asoiaf but there were times I was extremely shocked, disgusted or angry from it (Lady Hornwood, Jeyne Poole, Robb-Grey wind, Eddard etc)

Ooh the ending of Red Dead 2, I put so much effort into redeeming Arthur and boy was that worth it and also very sad.

Err that’s all I can think of rn but I may update this lol

Edit: oh also the ending of community, I had a lottt of love for that show, same goes for Scrubs

Also the end of saving private Ryan

This is long but I’m trying to rack my brain and think of as much as possible

The ending of Spider-Man: Miles Morales (the game). I’m still salty about it. It’s just one of the games that drag you down with the characters, that you end up feeling so attached to them.

Death of Tony Stark. Death of Natasha Romanoff. Death of Yondu. I distinctly remember bawling my eyes out in the cinema.

....Yeah, I suppose I feel strongly about certain Marvel character deaths.

Edit: Marriage Story as well- it wasn’t the film as a whole, but more like the personal sentiment attached to it.

Bayek’s son’s death (Assassin’s Creed: Origins). Didn’t sit well with me for a while.

The ending of Khaled Hosseini’s Kite Runner.

SaltyfaceMcPruneBecky · Jan. 8, 2021, 5:04 p.m.

Khaled Hosseini's Kite Runner made me cry so hard while reading it. And then I had to write and present a book report on it.

Every scene where somebody sacrifices themself in order to protect someone. Giving up your chance of happiness for somebody else always hits me. I don't cry but it gets on my mood.😥

Tribal-WildlingFemcel · Jan. 8, 2021, 7:19 a.m.

Same

Tribal-WildlingFemcel · Jan. 8, 2021, 7:18 a.m.

I know this might sound creepy (because it actually is lol) but I cried when Heathcliff embraced Catherine's dead corpse in Wuthering Heights. I also cried when Jack died in Titanic.

  • Ace’s death in One Piece
  • Moonbrooke in Dragon Quest Builders 2
  • Jane Eyre, the BBC adaption

chayshyMentalcel · Jan. 8, 2021, 1:17 p.m.

The ending of Ano Hana

I don't even want to talk about it, it was bittersweet and made me cry like a baby and I don't cry a lot.

likeafreakonaleashFormer Femcel · Jan. 8, 2021, 5:15 p.m.

  • the whole The Notebook movie (hey, I'm a girl after all)
  • Rachel's death in The Dark Knight (which is saying a lot because I don't cry while watching superhero movies)
  • this particular scene in Titanic: old Rose saying "he exists now only in my memory" referring to Jack. The idea that this kind and loving guy was just forgotten by everyone just gets me everytime
  • Dobby's death in Harry Potter
  • the scene in LOTR: The Return of the King where the ring is finally destroyed and the fellowship members look in awe while the Eye of Sauron destroys itself
  • the scene in Love Actually where Juliet discovers that Mark is in love with her while he's watching her nervously and then he adds "it's a self preservation thing, you see?" and leaves. Also the scenes with Sarah because I have a mentally ill brother too so I know that it feels to sacrifice your own happiness for someone else's

Hell, I cry a lot.

athrowaway283222Becky · Jan. 8, 2021, 9:47 p.m.

I cry at almost every piece of emotional media 😭 this would be me listing everything I’ve ever watched...

antempirezFemcel · Jan. 9, 2021, 9:06 p.m.

It's from Your Silent Voice.

Some time after Shouko/Nashimiya is saved from committing suicide by Shoya, she wakes up in the middle of the night and runs to this bridge where the two used to feed carp.

Every time I watch that scene it fucks me up. They way she just stops and cries, it kills me.

I would 100% recommend the movie (even of you don't like anime, because I don't care for it but this movie is definitely in my top 10) but if you're just curious about this specific scene it's on Netflix and the scene happens when there is 20:45 left of the movie.

Train to Busan! I don't wanna spoiler but I cried like a baby

angelishdisasterBecky · Jan. 11, 2021, 7:30 a.m.

Dobby dying in Harry Potter, both movie and book. I just can't take that. It was too much for me.
