The last part is so beautifully put. The only people who obsess over “gender identity” are those living in developed countries.
Women who live in truly oppressive, developing countries don’t have the luxury of being able to obsess over their “identity”.
These women are treated as though they exist purely to procreate. Highly offensive terms such as “birthing people” perpetuate archaic, misogynistic attitudes that the west proudly proclaims to have “progressed” from.
