TWAW doesn’t make sense

Submitted June 27, 2020, 1:22 p.m. by happycatsadcat

TWAW doesn’t make sense. They wouldn’t be a trans woman if they weren’t trans, which they know means they have the wrong genitalia and chromosomes,so by calling themselves trans aren’t they acknowledging biology as a fact?

If they are in fact women then why do they get offended by female specific language or other women talking about their experiences? What kind of ‘oppressed’ class silences others, has major backing and has everyone kissing their feet? Furthermore, when someone trans does something clearly wrong they say that they aren’t actually trans, which goes against their whole ‘misgendering is murder’ thing. ~ Like, wow. You’re invalidating their reality? Sounds kinda terfy to me ~

It’s just getting ridiculous at this point. So thankful for this sub

literally nothing that they say makes any sense. there's no logical consistency to their ideas.

Not only does it not make sense, this kind of ideology thrives off of obfuscating things, blurring reality and making terms as difficult to define as possible.

The ideology cannot have a specific basis because it has to include everyone. "Trans" has to include transvestites, men who have had surgery to destroy their penis, men who will only get breast implants, and everyone else who says "I am woman" plus the people who do not identity as women but still are women (which is most women). The worst part is when they start bringing in stuff that contradicts the other stuff.

it's why they resort to ad hominem verbal attacks and violent threats instead of answering these exact questions. there's just... no actual logic.

Exactly. They never ever engage in a dialogue. No matter what you say, it's "die terf!" They have no argument, no rebuttal to our questions and concerns. Only dogma.

It only makes sense if you subscribe to the idea that "woman" is a feeling or someone that exhibits stereotypes. If you think woman is a feminine person, not a female person, then anyone can be a woman!

Some of the people who buy into this think that sex and gender are one and the same, that gender is innate and natural, not something society pushes on people. Others deny that sex is a thing or think it doesn't matter, that how you express yourself (as they see gender) is what defines you as a man or woman.

It's all pretty offensive and wholly sexist, not to mention not a feminist perspective.

Surely if people went with the whole "transwomen are women" thing and basically assumed that if you identify as a woman you are one then wouldn't the trans rights movements and stuff be defunct? The T can come out of the acronym, the flag can go? At least that's kind of how I see it ?

It’s a mantra from a real life cult, day it often enough and people will believe it.

Very Orwellian times we live in
