Don’t buy their crap. They’re trying to profit off the current zeitgeist (if you want to call the foul shit that) but they’re just a profit-driven company like all the others.

Don’t buy their ugly shit.

Listen, men can totally wear lingerie. Nothing is stopping them! But please, PLEASE, don’t call that man a woman

inpieces1 · June 27, 2020, 9:11 p.m.

Right. Honestly if they said "every body" it would not have been so offensive. But it is Laughable that they are even trying to say this man is a woman.

(Infor for non-Brits - this is a reference to a character by late UK comedian (Kenny Everett)[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenny_Everett))

I bet my ass they would never put a woman wearing men's underwear in a campaign

I'm pretty sure they did in the 90s.

Well but did they state she was a man? 😂 no doubt it was just sexual objectification

ThatstealthygalFemale human · June 28, 2020, 3:31 p.m.

Yup, it was meant to be sexy. CK was doing a lot of gender neutral/unisex stuff at the time.

Don't feed the trolls. This ad was deliberately designed to spark outrage. Don't be duped into thinking that any profit driven entity is a true believer. The people who create the ads are listening to the conversation and counting the clicks. Right now, with stuff like this and Calvin Cline, the conversation is being controlled by money, and playful sexuality is a hell of a lot more profitable than "angry women." We are playing into this ugly stereotype to our detriment. I don't know what the answer is, but if we want to be listened to, we need better tactics.

Just from a practical point of view- long leg hair and stockings/tights are not a happy combination.
