POC views on Radical Feminism

DISCUSSION Submitted June 29, 2020, 4:05 a.m. by ladysnowsummer

Hi! It's my first time posting here because I'm confused about some pocs view on gender.

I follow a feminist-antiracism group since may due to the George Floyd murder and I tried to educate myself on these topics and being an active activist against racism in my country (as an ally, of course). However, many of these people show their support to Judith Butler's theory and I'm a little disappointed. One, in particular, is a native american woman (very feminine as well) that identifies as non-binary and I don't know if I can debate it (mostly because her post responses are limited)

So, what I wanted to ask was, do you guys know specific poc radfems that are against queer theory? Do you know bloggers, youtubers or entertainers (preferably left-winged) that can help me understand being gender critical from a poc point of view?

There's many non-white women on this subreddit.

Also, you can have a read of posts in r/Gc_woc which is specifically for gender-critical women of colour.

Not sure if we can post twitter handles of people without the blue checkmark so I will DM some accounts.

Keep in mind that queer theory and critical race theory have the same roots in post-modernism.

That's the thing. I really believe that women of color aren't as privileged as white women, but from what I've seen, many big names recommend Judith Butler, no binary shit, etc... So I'm confused, is this some kind of fragmentation of the feminist movement? We shouldn't acknowledge their situation because of their skin color? Maybe I sound really uneducated, but I'm trying of understand that part about women of color in feminism

It depends on where they are from and who is considered "poc"

Jana Cornel on Twitter. Also Hibo Wardere although I don’t know if she’s specifically a radfem but it seems that many radfems like her!
