So Freemasons can exclude women but not trans people. Okay. Got it. 🙄

So the Freemasons are men only, but are allowing trans women, thus insinuating trans women are men. How very transphobic of them.
If you're so distraught at being a male, why would you want to keep your male privilege, I wonder.

Hey I’m a Freemason!
Just for some clarification, this is only one country’s rules, not Freemasonry everywhere.
Also, the rule is that women can’t be initiated, not that they can’t be members. It’s kind of a technicality that doesn’t matter in most situations, but it does when it comes to people who were already initiated. Trans women Freemasons that were already initiated get to stay members, because they aren’t breaking any rules, because there isn’t a rule against a woman being a member. Trans women who aren’t already Freemasons that try to join are not allowed still; since they are considered women they cannot be initiated.
I hope that clarifies it for you and provides some insight into what they were thinking when they made the rule. Please let me know if you have any questions or anything!

So would they let women be initiated if they used he/him pronouns and identified as a man

Depends on the Jurisdiction. I certainly don’t mean to insinuate that every Grand Lodge has the most progressive rules possible.
In the United Grand Lodge of England, which is what the article is about, trans men are allowed to be initiated.

Nope because misogyny is based on sex, not dreamy gender fantasies ðŸ¤

This just proves transwomen are not more oppressed than real women. And your statement doesn't make Freemasons look any less misogynist. But hey we know that in this patriarchal world real women are barred from any chance of being in one of the highest echelons of society, except maybe if they're trafficked for sex or the arm candy of a powerful man. Transwomen aren't women, they're just men in dresses. So the sex composition hasn't changed one bit

Freemasons history of pedophilia is well documented. Freemasons are the epitome of kink. So much more. Prince Andrew will never be prosecuted.

The society for perverted crusty old men, I can see why they’d fit in.
