this is plain, obvious, slap-you-in the face lesbophobia. just because some of the members were GC and because they respected women’s dating preferences! i have no words for the outrage i feel.

They keep trying to silence anyone who disagrees, so I reported a couple of posts that are nasty. It’ll probably get me banned from Reddit, but I don’t care at this point. I’m done with this movement infringing upon EVERYONE. It doesn’t even represent all trans people. It makes them look bad. But I can’t fight this in person or have my identity revealed. My field will hate me for promoting science.

Pinkpillfeminism = banned

Trufemcels = banned

GenderCritical = banned

Did we lose, or is there still hope?

Reddit can't hide its rabid hate for and support of hate speech against women. Feminist subs like r/gendercritical that support discussion about women's rights get banned after concerted efforts from conservative identity police but violent, hatespeech filled subs like r/STRUGGLEFUCKING (one of numerous rape-celebrating subs on Reddit) continue unabated.

Reddit supports hate against women.

I think we need to compile a list of feminist and related subs that have just been banned thanks to TRAs. I'm NOT counting subs that have gone private.

/r/Femalehuman - banned within an hour of being made.

/r/Gendercriticalgerman - apparently this sub was only 7 months old and had about 20 posts, mostly anti-prostitution, ie. it wasn't even trans-focused in content

/r/GCScandinavia - I've never been to this sub but I'm assuming it was a feminist sub from the name

/r/Blackpillfeminism (I think this sub was banned prior to today's mass banwave, but it's worth including)

/r/transtruth (I've never been to this sub so I don't actually know if it was a feminist sub)

Sorry gals, I am a dude, but this is pissing me off so much. I've been in support of Rowling's Ideas and the general idea that women have been neglected the rights that dudes (who have had all the privileges our society affords them) dressed as women, are demanding. I hope that's enough to not get booted. I'm sorry about the GC ban, and hope the diaspora find this place or a good base to set back up.

The link at the top, my favorite comic author, that I've been reading since 10th grade (now 31) has apparently decided they've been a woman this whole time. He (Greg) has made a (very loosely) auto-biographical webcomic. Day-to-Day nerdy humor, some humorous accounts of real-life events, long hiatuses, and some wild tangents (Last week's arc just wrapped up a wormhole story). He's starting a 3-week arc into his transition into "Mae", and I think I'm done reading. I checked on the twitters, and like a lot of the Trans Twitter, it's openly talking about hormone levels and pills in between memes. One of the posts claims he and his daughter are both going through puberty. I'm sure that doesn't make his girl cringe to think about that comparison.

I'm just so let down. Being a fan of his for half my life, some of my style came from him. I dressed the way his character does all through college, bought some of the iron-on patches that his wife's company made (curious about his wife's response), and learned to draw and even did my own comics in college based on his style. In hindsight, I think I looked up to him as an example of a functional nerd, which I pride myself on being (or trying to be). And now I think his strip is going to devolve into gender politics. I still say "his" strip, because the best the comic ever was, at the height of that genre's popularity was created by him, a young man.

I'm no expert, but I know some trans people refer to their transition as the old identity dying and the new one being born, so if Greg's dead, then there's nothing more to read.

XKCD is still awesome and sane though, so I got that going for me, which is nice.

I heard Gender Critical and Troll GC were recently banned and I can’t seem to access those subs

Edit for any Cynical members popping by:

I don’t want to hear a single person who supports the ban claim they support free speech at all. Gender Critical was literally a nonviolent subreddit and even if they had an opinion that was different from yours you’re going to promote censorship? You guys are no different from conservatives, both of y’all always talk about free speech Ike it’s the most important thing until it comes to protecting someone you’re against’s free speech. If you truly believed in it you would be scared about how active censorship against opinions disagreeing with popular media is happening. What if one day the media turns against y’all? Then you will complain and all be hypocrites. This really exposes who you fake Democrats are. Y’all don’t want real freedom of speech at all.

This just in from a NZ newspaper “Shoppers at Countdown chain will no longer see euphemistic language like “sanitary” or “feminine hygiene” products to describe pads, tampons and menstrual cups after the chain said it would be the first in the world to use the word “period” to describe the items.

No other local or international retailer used the word “period” to describe the products shoppers buy for menstruation, according to a spokesperson for Countdown.

The online shopping platform will reflect the changes, adding that products previously described as “intimate hygiene” and “female products” would now be categorised as “genital washes and wipes”.

It’s so political at the moment, taking a hardline approach around language. So to see a big brand jump on a train that they haven’t really even been asked to jump onto is very cool, very inspiring.”

We've all heards "TERFs are nazis!!" "terfs are violent!!" etc.. but it's never true. They spread such bullshit lies and fear about us.

Males & TRAs commit violence, they violate our spaces, they police pronouns, they no-platform us, doxx us, and label us as "fake" feminists. They joke about hate crimes, they hate gay people, they dont respect people of color, and so on.

If anyone is to be compared to a violent, male led movement that sought to label and erase a sect of people.. it's them.

Of course TQ+ shit is not comparable to literal genocide but thats an argument they use often against GC, hence my rebuttal.

Schofield says he can’t believe she wanted to say anything. He says her words have had severe impact: Shortly after her statement, Schofield counseled a trans teen who wanted to commit suicide. “Why would you be one of the richest women on earth and come for us? That really says something about her that's ugly. She could have gone through life, and everyone would still believe that she made the universe a more magical place.”

I don't agree with this but let's discuss.
