So, why do y'all want to drop the T?

Discussion Submitted July 8, 2020, 10:03 p.m. by Marathewolfgirl

I'm interested in why y'all want to be separated from the trans community?

There's a sticky post about this...

Marathewolfgirl · July 8, 2020, 10:08 p.m.

How so?

Im-Probably-Drinking · July 8, 2020, 10:26 p.m.

Sticky post has been removed for the time being, in lieu of our announcement of rules/re-opening and our announcement of impending ban. We can only have two at any given time. We do plan to bring back the "Why?" thread in the future.

We still don't allow this sort of obvious bad-faith idiocy though, so it's being removed :)

From my perspective this subreddit seems to mainly be people who want to delegitimize transgender people.

Not at all I think it should be separate because being transgender has to do with gender while gay, lesbian and bisexuality have to do with sexual attraction.

Marathewolfgirl · July 8, 2020, 10:17 p.m.

I agree with that, but I think some people's opinions on this subreddit are pretty extreme.

The entire existence of this sub is based on the delegitimization of lgb people by TRAs. There may be some conservatives on this sub that are here to fear monger, sure, but the overwhelming majority are accepting of trans people as they are but do not see the relevance of their place within a community when they undermine the movement at its most basic levels.

Interesting opinion

jesplin · July 8, 2020, 10:21 p.m.

Not really an opinion. You can’t change sex. Trans people saying it’s transphobic to not be sexually attracted to them is antithetical to the lgb platform.

xfireofthephoenix · July 8, 2020, 10:16 p.m.

Because I got 5 rape threats on Twitter because I dared be a 'black TERF' since apparently black women are required to uplift transwomen. These TRAs are especially angry at black women and they aren't nearly as judgmental towards white, Asian, or Latinas. They truly expect us to fight for them. Entitled bastards.

I, for one, am tired of being bullied and stigmatized just because I don't want a relationship with someone who has a penis. I'm tired of the "just try it, you're being discriminatory" because that's the exact same argument men use with lesbians. I'm tired of them claiming that they don't like their genitals or use them during sex, then telling lesbians who don't want to be with them to "suck their girl dick" because then they're weaponizing the very genitals they claim to hate.

I don't believe trans women have a right to bitch and moan on subs and forums about women's reproductive issues, they can't claim exclusion just because they don't have those organs and genitals and can't relate. They DON'T know what it's like to deal with the obstacles cis women do, because they spent most of their lives as men. Even if they didn't feel like men, they presented as men. So I want to drop the T because they're demanding to be part of a group they cannot relate to and are bullying for acceptance from.

Don't get me wrong, I know they're not all like that, but I'm so damn tired of the ones who are.

Have you ever actually been bullied by a trans individual in person?

Im-Probably-Drinking · July 8, 2020, 10:28 p.m.

Try reading our sidebar and listening what our users are saying.

Oh wait, I forgot, you just wanted to make a post so you could pretend you didn't, and accuse us of transphobia.

Bye.
