Here are the things that particularly grind my gears...

Homophobia is defined as "irrational hatred and fear of LGBTQIA+ people" but they have "transphobia" which is specific to trans people. We aren't even allowed to have our discrimination be specific to us; if we're discriminated against, everyone else is too but if trans people are discriminated against, it only affects them.

They specifically list being gay and lesbian as a "sexual orientation toward people of the same gender" but they're definitely not using sex and gender interchangeably as they have separate definitions for the two. They classify gender as a "social construct" and mostly just "psychological traits" so apparently we're attracted to people's psychological and emotional traits but not their biological physicality.

Homosexual/homosexuality is "outdated" but heterosexual and bisexual are alright apparently.

Sex is described as "categorization based on the appearance of one's genitals at birth", completely ignoring chromosomes, secondary sex characteristics, hormonal differences, differing brain structures, etc. Apparently, the only difference between males and females is having a penis or vagina.

Under the definition of sexuality, sexuality is "fluid". Apparently, this just goes for everyone. Frankly, it reminds me an awful lot when people say to me, "You may like men now but you may meet a woman who'll change your mind one day!". Just more TRA nonsense.

Well, to be fair, they specify bisexual as attraction toward the other genderS, while bi literally implies that a bisexual feels an attraction to two genders. So that's a bullshit.

And they specify heterosexuality as an attraction to a gender other than one's own. So a femme (which - not a joke - is considered a gender by the TQ+) is into a butch (same thing applies) then by this bullshit definition she's not lesbian, but straight.

God these people are delusional. I'm gay and have been told by other gay men that I'm a "soft butch" and am generally considered pretty "gender conforming". I tend to be attracted to and date men on the more effeminate side so according to these jokers, I'm heterosexual because of that. This is such blatant gay/bisexual erasure.

Did that piss you off as much as it did me?

Yes. They're literally saying we're all kind of bisexuals in disguise and that we might like the opposite sex under certain circumstances. So homophobic.

Also, I love it how homossexuality is an outdated term, but heterossexuality isn't.

I’m bisexual and I’ve always hated that “idea”. I’d hear people say it’s because society pressures bisexuals to be straight but then how do they explain homosexuality? Some people are exclusively attracted to the same (or opposite) sex and they don’t need to explain or rethink their sexual orientation. 👍

Reposting my comment from another thread because it's so related:

"I've been educating myself on the TRA takeover and women-silencing that's been going on and today that led me to my university's diversity center webpage, which has a miniature dictionary of sexuality-related terms. There are 30 or 40 definitions that would drive anyone who's not completely indoctrinated up a wall, but the centerpiece is a definition of 'homosexuality' that claims it's attraction to the same gender! Then the definition for 'gender' actually uses the term 'gender', breaking rule #1 of writing a dictionary (don't use the word in its own freaking definition).

I'm outraged that I never knew this crap was flying under the radar. I realized that because the text of Title IX (in the US) refers to sex (thankfully) but the definitions the school uses refers to gender, there is no textual defense against sanctioned homophobia on campus! One could literally discriminate against gay men for being gay and NOT violate Title IX, according to the school's diversity center definitions."

Heterosexuality: A sexual orientation in which a person feels physically and emotionally attracted to people of a gender other than their own.

Wouldn't that be a form of pansexuality? if you attracted to opposite gender and moon gender and non binary and star gender...that's not just the opposite sex.

The Trans want to control everything, be included in everything and abolish anything and everything that doesn't agree with their ideology.

Tawdaw · July 9, 2020, 5:40 p.m.

Not all trans ppl- that's something you have to remember

"Cisgender: The prefix cis- means "on this side of" or "not across." A term used to call attention to the privilege of people who are not transgender."

So apparently, being born a man or a woman is a privilege.

Oh, didn't you know? Those baby girl victims of infanticide were just so lucky to be born female.

I mean, think of what a 30-year-old degenerate in thigh-high stockings wouldn't give for that to be him!

Is Kinsey scale play a big role in all of it ? In my opinion Kinsey scale is overused, too many young straight girls force themself to fit in into a label. I know several bisexual women who claims the L label cause they fit into number 5 of Kinsey scale ( woman who prefer women but sometimes slept with men).

cookiebunch · July 9, 2020, 9:39 p.m.

Did anyone notice that lesbian is described as a woman whose primary attraction is towards people of the same gender. Leaving aside the "gender" part of it, why is that qualifier "primary" in there when it's absent from the gay definition?

femmeonstandbi · July 10, 2020, 12:04 a.m.

This is why I'm transferring to a private university, the curriculum in the community college system is the same. I'd had enough after 2 years and knew that it would only continue in the UC system. I felt out of place as a bisexual person in school LGBT groups; GSA now stands for "Gender Spectrum Alliance" apparently.

"Transphobia: The fear or hatred of transgender people..." - alright, fine. "...or people who do not meet society’s gender role expectations." - what?? So plain old sexism of hating gender non conforming people is transphobia now??

multiplesarcasms31Biological man seeks same · July 10, 2020, 11:13 a.m.

Especially too when a lot of homophobia is based in the perception that gay men and lesbians don't meet society's "gender role expectations" (dating and/or having sex with someone of the same sex is basically considered the ultimate middle finger to gender roles). It's just another way to make both sexism and homophobia about trans issues.
