If you are able to issue rape, torture, and death threats to someone who disagrees with you, all without consequence, YOU'RE NOT OPPRESSED!

Welcome to r/terfisaslur.

What is a "TERF"? While "TERF" is supposed to stand for "Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist," the people called "TERF" generally are neither radical feminists nor "trans exclusionary," and in practice the term has become a slur. More info.

We're documenting hateful rhetoric directed at lesbians, radical feminists, gender critical feminists, and others on Reddit and beyond.

If you're curious about why certain trans activists are clashing with some feminists, see these resources from r/GenderCritical.

I love how blindsided some TRAs are.

How can you advocate for a group that actively wishes violence on those who disagree. And the reason they disagree is for sake of self preserving their own safety and rights, no malicious intent.

Most GC people believed that self representation is encouraged, safety is a right for trans people too but not at the comfort and safety of women

And this is how they return, not with discussion. Not with conversation. No empathy, no understanding. They do the most chauvinistic male thing possible but shutting those with concerns up, brandishing them with slur and perpetuating violence.

Its disturbing how some people react violently to any opinion that violates their personal reality. Almost like a "if I can't have it (womanhood) then you can't have it either!" Very sociopathic and unstable.

Eta: the aspiring therapist needs therapy

When you understand that the risk factor for developing autogynephilia is a cluster B personality disorder (either narcissistic or borderline), a lot of this behaviour makes sense.

Don't come with science that wasn't approved by a hundred newly transitioned trans women! How dare you?

Yes... I maybe invalidating feewings. Which is literal violence

Wow the one from the potential therapist is particularly disturbing. I was legitimately distressed about coming out to my therapist as supporting JKR (which in context was silly bc she’s amazing and would never be so unprofessional as to react any kind of way); to BRAG about not being a safe place for your client to talk about their feelings is unconscionable.

I have an excellent relationship with my male therapist (when we discussed the trans issue he said that in his own experience the parents who push their children to transition are mentally ill-worth noting that he specialises in aspergers) this particular OP is a good example of how men are unsuited to most aspects of healthcare.

I hope someone keeps that tweet and when they get a job. It goes viral so they'll never be a therapist ever. :)

That is particularly chilling. I hope that nowhere hires them as a therapist as they cannot be trusted to have any clients if that is how they feel about a difference of opinion. All it takes to be labelled a TERF by some of these people is to call out a single person who says they are trans and is an obvious predator.

As someone with counselling training, the potential therapist really mind boggles me. That person is lucky they said this anonymously, because that would end their career(as it should). Being a therapist, it is MANDATORY to take your political beliefs out of the picture, and you are REQUIRED to avoid working with or in areas of extreme sensitivity for you. I wouldn’t work with sexual assaulters because I just wouldn’t be able to mentally handle it, the mature thing to do is make sure you know your limits and where your professionalism would suffer. This person is going to be a terrible therapist for the reason that they clearly have no maturity or understanding of professionalism. If a client says something or behaves in a way that isn’t healthy for you, you transfer them to someone who can help them more than you, not be selfish about your own opinions as a mental health worker. Absurd.

Perhaps he is similar to the therapists who over diagnosed schizophrenia in black people, recommended that Alan Turing be injected with oestrogen, and lobotimised a lot of women in the 50's?

VixnSkye · July 8, 2020, 2:20 a.m.

I'm pretty sure that potential therapist won't do any actual work, but will handle only gender non-conforming or gender dysphoria teens, and will push them toward transitioning regardless of their actual needs.

"punch all terfs, for wanting to hurt people just trying to live their lives" what do they think "terfs" are trying to do?? literally its just that, people trying to live their lives free from violence and bullshit

As a Jew, they can go fuck themselves.

I HATE that they use sailor moon for this shit, that's CHIBIMOON! Not Damon's kid. Eugh. Appropriating Sailor Moon too.
