I'd like to see PenisNews write 34 defamatory articles regarding his recent retweet.

Did you see the difference with which the transcult is reacting? The very people who vomit rape, and death threats against JK Rowling so casually are disappointed with him. Not one of them has asked him to suck their girldick or wished him dead. Just disappointment. And then they say they are not misogynists.

I know. Just come out and say you hate women alreydy ffs. Oh wait, you already do.

lucretiamott1 · June 28, 2020, 2:12 p.m.

It's kind of amazing, isn't it - the paradox of these dudes saying that they're women at the same time that they're hating on and trying to destroy women.

DifferentAirGCSeahorses are horses · June 28, 2020, 1:31 p.m.

Yes. I haven't seen any reddit posts about him. Meanwhile, JK got witch-hunted for liking - not even retweeting or posting - a radfem tweet.

This was literally my first thought, because it’s so obvious

I don’t know how any biological woman doesn’t see this

LesbianPrincess-TERF Royalty ♡ · June 28, 2020, 3:08 p.m.

biological woman

You can just say women :) :p

Yeah don't give into the doublespeak when you have anonymity at least.

digestif · June 28, 2020, 2:29 p.m. · 1 reply

It probably helped that Kings' fanbase is not as TRA-infested and considerably smaller. But yeah, it's very noticeable.

PollyannaPenny · June 28, 2020, 4:08 p.m. · 1 reply

It probably helped that Kings' fanbase is >not as TRA-infested and considerably >smaller.

It also helps that his core fanbase tends to be much older than the Tumblr kids who made up the most rabid HP fanbase. Fifty year olds don't tend to hitch their identity and mental health upon a book series (or author) they like agreeing with their politics

etherspin · June 28, 2020, 8:12 p.m.

Not to knock tatts in general - king's base probably have 1 percent the number of book/author related tatts vs the Potter set too.

PollyannaPenny · June 28, 2020, 4:02 p.m.

They also didn't try to erase his accomplishments and claim that his books were actually written by Emma Watson (or some other ditzy young libfem who performed in one of his movies).

BeeBeeBoodie · June 28, 2020, 4:09 p.m.

Same with John Cleese. He joined the fray a couple weeks ago and, surprise surprise, his responses were largely full of civil disagreements, not threats and all caps.

Postcardtoalake · June 28, 2020, 5:02 p.m. · 1 reply

Make pretzel logic - it makes no sense. They’re all like: “Kill all women but leave the abusive men alone.”

TheFallTooLate · June 28, 2020, 10:31 p.m. · 1 reply

Because men are the purveyors of pleasure for them. All those years of humiliating, degrading porn have convinced them that women are nothing but objects to be used and abused. As such, they cannot speak against men because not only are they submissive to men, but abusive men are their ideal partner as well.

Postcardtoalake · June 29, 2020, 3:51 a.m.

I got banned from so many places for mentioning exactly this - radfem subs like GenderCritical, FDS, TrollXXsomething, probably here.

Apparently men, TRAs, and TIMs are combing women’s subs for any mention of violence (or in the case of u/GenderCritical, disagreeing with a dumb mod) and banning anyone who mentions violence against men/fighting back.

Can one really be a radfem and be a coward? and I don’t agree that a women is radfem for banning an actual radfem without warning, or banning a radfem for not agreeing with a mod? I thinks not. They blow.

It’s also a great sign to talk to actual people and not the damn internet, even there is a pandemic. A reminder to apply to grad schools using my passion, not putting pearls before swine only to have cowards ban me with no warning or real reason.

They’re like “I’m radfem and hate men....until they ban us, then we’re just sheeple TRAs just like everyone else!”

Sad to see countless gay men slander and attack JK when they’re the ones who should be showing their support like this. She is incredible for standing up for women and the LGB.

I hope he doesn’t back down from this.

lisasimpsonfan · June 28, 2020, 1:07 p.m. · 1 reply

I hope he stands strong too.

stuckathomeagain · June 28, 2020, 2:11 p.m.

To be fair he’s Stephen King. The guy is synonymous with great American writing, I’d like to think he can’t really be cancelled for an opinion.

It is interesting that he hasn’t had the threatening bile that JKR had?

Says it all, I think.

digestif · June 28, 2020, 2:32 p.m.

It's very unlikely. The dude is 72 years old. And - at least in my opinion - people that old very rarely back down from their positions. He's probably wealthy enough to not be dependant on the public's opinion for the rest of his life. Not that the general public would give two shits about incoherent TRA ramblings.

discretevalor · June 28, 2020, 6:21 p.m. · 2 replies

He did 🙄 He just tweeted “Trans women are women” to appease the cult.

donteatmee3333 · June 28, 2020, 6:43 p.m.

heavy sigh I knew it.

etherspin · June 28, 2020, 8:21 p.m.

Slogans almost universally suck. They are the death of Nuance. Makes me think of what John Cleese was inquiring about RE Rowling and transwomen when he asked if he would be one of he were merely to utter the words

Kings later tweet ("transwomen are women") doesn't give much information about the bar for what constitutes a trans-woman

People jumped on Cleese and said that nah, he wouldn't be a trans-woman if he just said he was a woman because he wouldn't be sincere but they miss the fact that a person could have no meaningful concept of what it's like to be a woman, might have been raised by their father, only had brothers, only had male friends and they could say "I'm certain I'm having girl feelings" and that would be considered the same as someone immersed amongst women , not relating to male peers outside the home, feeling total kinship and similarities to all the women around them and wanting to get extensive surgery and hormone treatment after years of pondering it and these two would be the same.

I'm not validating or invalidating either hypothetical but it shows how immune to questioning these concepts are. A person can one moment claim X male individual may not participate in a conversation about X female centric issue and in the next breath that person who was excluded as male can transcend all of it and access female physical spaces/sanctuaries and also shame gay women who aren't sexually attracted to them

I appreciate men standing up for this cause, even though it drives me crazy that they’re allowed to and JK isn’t.

Everyone just shrugs at Ricky Gervais’s comments even though they are often much less respectful than JK’s

RevengeOfTheCis · June 28, 2020, 2:56 p.m. · 2 replies

Interesting. Did he tweet any support that directly addresses the trans issue? A few years ago he tweeted something that implied he was pro-trans (search his name in r/GenderCritical) so I wouldn't say this proves he's a TERF quite yet.

90sAnimeApologist · June 28, 2020, 3:10 p.m. · 1 reply

Who knows? But opinions change, especially when most people don't actually know what "trans rights" entails. Two years ago I was criticizing a family friend for saying the gender stuff didn't make any sense. Now here I am.

RevengeOfTheCis · June 28, 2020, 3:11 p.m. · 1 reply

That's why I want to see something concrete. I think it would be even better for us if he was previously pro-trans and realized it's bullshit after investigating further. If people turn to our side after being informed, that's good news IMO.

90sAnimeApologist · June 28, 2020, 11:54 p.m. · 1 reply

WEW. Yeah, you called it. Better not to assume men have principles.

RevengeOfTheCis · June 29, 2020, 11:12 a.m.

Yeah, I'm really not happy to have called this one. :( And the way it went down was just... awful. You'd think someone who specializes in horror would know better than to side with a zombie mob. They're acting nice now, but they're still going to eat you eventually, Stephen!

PollyannaPenny · June 28, 2020, 4:13 p.m. · 1 reply

Rowling has also said pro-trans stuff in the recent past. She just hasn't fully swallowed the koolaid and joined other wealthy libfems in dismantling female rights for woke points

RevengeOfTheCis · June 28, 2020, 4:36 p.m.

Unfortunately, King just tweeted TWAW. Check out the new post about this on this sub.

ByzantineOtter · June 28, 2020, 3:09 p.m.

We have a King to go with our Queen

Gerry_Hatrick · June 28, 2020, 3:10 p.m.

Let me start by saying that as a left of centre Corbyn supporter I am not exactly in agreement with JK Rowling's politics. That now said, I can't deny to have developed a massive crush on her this last couple of weeks for her complete refusal to back down in the face of the worst threats and misogynist abuse.

I have been sorely disappointed with people like Owen Jones and other blue tick celebrities who have fanned the flames of hatred directed towards her. More and more the transcult are losing their shit because JK Rowling stood up and said the Emperor has no clothes. The paperthin wall between TRAs and MRAs has all but disappeared and we see with each passing day the Trans Rights lobby is no more than another bunch of men trying to keep women in their place.

Stephen King coming out and retweeting her will be boiling their piss, I love it.

Shinjin_Nana · June 28, 2020, 3:45 p.m.

Pretty sure King has 'fuck you' money too. They can't cancel JKR and they can't cancel The King.

Let's hope they're strong enough to push the dominoes over and send this TRA shit to hell.

GrassStartersSuck · June 28, 2020, 4 p.m.

Literally my favourite author ever. I love him so much. Thank you Stephen King. ❤️

Oh, that dude who was disappointed about a book about woody Allen being cancelled. Also the same one who called the latter's victims whiny. He hates women, so I'm not surprised he backed down.

octopushotdog · June 28, 2020, 7:22 p.m.

This dude is so far from feminist. I like his work but he is so fucking creepy and obsessed with women's bodies, especially legs to an unhealthy degree.

I don't like seeing this in a space that is supposed to be for gender critical ideas.

BCDragon300 · June 29, 2020, 1:04 a.m.

Ok can people understand that JK Rowling isn’t transphobic. If you actually read her essay you would know. My 2 trans friends literally agree with her
